Relationships

Relationships come in all shapes and sizes. There is the relationship between parent and child. Then there is a relationship between siblings. Next is the relationship with peers, teachers, and authority figures. As we develop and grow our relationships evolve. As we enter the workplace the relationships that develop are between managers and employees, fellow employees, customers, vendors and so on. Somewhere in the process the relationship between life partners starts to develop. This is often a start, stop, change process often filled with confusion, excitement, fear, love, physical attraction, emotional connection, spiritual linking and the list goes on.

Change

Change is a very interesting thing. First and foremost it is going to happen no matter what, that is inevitable! It elicits many emotions including fear, excitement, anxiety, happiness, forgiveness, anger, gratitude and I could go on. It may be change that we see in people including: ourselves, our partner, our parents, our children, our friends. It may be change we see in our environment such as our home the nature that surrounds us, the city or town we live in or our employment or school or some other institution we are associated with. It may be something else entirely but it will be happening and all the emotions and even all the effort in the world will not totally stop it. Yes, we may slow it down, or interfere with it in some way but to totally prevent it is not possible.

I think that if we were willing to accept change for what it is and go with it we would find that it is most likely not devistating and most probably beneficial and for the highest good of all. Yes, there are things we get passionate about such as war and other things but getting into a fight over it does nothing to solve it. If we send positive thoughts out to all involved with the idea that the concept is not working eventually when enough people are doing that things of that nature will change as well. So instigating change requires patience and experiencing change requires it as well. Accepting it is very important so that we do not expend energy trying to prevent the inevitable or stop the flood of progress. Sometimes things seem not going fast enough or going to fast. This requires us to TRUST. Remember the Universe helps all things unfold and in its own good time and some of the steps in the process may not seem correct but we are not the experts the universe is.

Change usually is good even when things appear to be problematic during the process. Things have a way of working out and if we are patient we will see that and not get an ulcer. Today make an effort to be aware of the changes going on around you and also be open to them. You may find that your view of change begins to “change“!

Patience

Patience is a very difficult thing for many of us. The thing that needs to be rembered is that it takes time for things to unfold in a sequence that is beneficial to all and if we trust and have patience things generally go better. Look at the berry in the photoit takes time for it to ripen. It will taste better when ripe. If we get anxious it does nothing to improve the situation but does create more difficulty for us. If we are in a position to force it this can often have disastorous results. An example is forcing your way through traffic and creating an accident. This applies to everything. Try to be patience in all things and life will flow more smoothly!

Reiki and Religion

I have decided to repeat a previous post from a year ago as I get asked this a lot lately. I wish to immediately stress that Reiki is not a religion. It is an energy healing modality that simply put reduces stress and induces relaxation. With that being said I want to point out that religions are based on doctrine that has been developed over time and has generated belief systems that are usually detailed guidelines for living your life according to the doctrine that the specific religion supports. Reiki does not provide detailed guidelines for living that are specific to any detailed religious doctrine. Dr. Usui , who is considered the founder of Reiki as it is known today, did suggest five things that each person should consider as guiding principles. They are usually translated to read as follows:

1. Just for today, do not worry.

2. Just for today, do not anger.

3. Honor your parents, teachers and elders.

4. Earn your living honestly.

5. Show gratitude for all living things.

These guiding principles should fit nicely into any or all religious belief systems as they are pretty basic principles. I know many people around the world who practice Reiki and they come from varied cultures and religious backgrounds and find that Reiki fits well with their beliefs and lifestyle. As noted previously, Reiki is a energy healing system. Quantum physics has come to the conclusion that everything is energy and we are all connected in the sea of energy that makes up the universe. With that being documented scientifically it makes sense that working with our energy system is a logical process to affect the operation of the body .

The Universe

The universe is comprised of energy, it is all energy every aspect of it is energy according to quantum physics. That means we as humans are totally energetic beings and that we are part of the whole. We are one with the universe, we are one with all that is, we are one with each other human being, plant and animal in the universe. We are one with God, whatever we define as God and no matter our definition, that God is one with everything and all opinions of what God is. With that said loving one another should be a no brainer.

Reiki

Reiki is described by many as a form of energy healing that provides relaxation and reduces stress. I would add that it is a very powerful form of healing that not only relaxes one and reduces stress but subtly strips away layer by layer the negative sludge that has built up over time for various reasons and is clogging the flow of energy. In doing so it allows it to be flushed away cleansing our being on all levels so that we begin to feel refreshed and healed in many ways. It lifts off the weight that has held us back or impeded our growth as beings. It refreshes us on the physical, mental-emotional and spiritual levels in such a way that we feel ourselves floating and free with all of the world at our feet. This happens slowly and almost imperceptibly at first but soon we start to see the changes and we feel the healthy glow spreading throughout our being. The more we experience it the deeper and more profound the healing becomes. Yes, it is a spiritual experience, an emotional experience and is a physical one as well that allows us to be more aware and connected with a better understanding of our belief systems and how all are interconnected.
